Roscoe Village Roscoe Village is currently one of Chicago's most popular little neighborhoods featuring quiet tree lined streets close to terrific commercial areas and great transportation. The neighborhood is geographically defined by Roscoe Street, which is a delightful shopping district featuring many fine restaurants and night spots. Residents can take advantage of the lake, park, beaches, bike paths and playing fields which are just minutes away at Lake Michigan (about a mile and a half) as well as other entertainment opportunities like the Chicago Cubs at beautiful Wrigley Field which is only a mile away. Closer at hand is Hamlin Park with tennis court, playing fields, basketball court, field house and a 49 yard long outdoor pool with adult and childrens hours during the summer months. The Roscoe Village Neighbors association is very active and stages many fine events, including Retro on Roscoe, Pub Crawl Charity Event and the Roscoe Village Garden Walk. Roscoe Village lies at the edge of Lakeview at the south end of North Center, between Belmont Avenue and Addison Street and between Ravenswood Street and Western Avenue. The neighborhood is served by two L stops of the Brown Line at Paulina and Addison and there is easy access to the expressway. Downtown is about 20-30 minutes away by public transportation or by car.
